The GreatSmoky Mountains National Parkoffers adventure and good times for all who visit. The serious hiker and/or rock climber can spend days getting to the top of Mount LeConte, others can try many easier hikes, including the Chimneys Tops, which is shown in the picture to the right. You can stay in your car for a wonderfully scenic drive, or stop for a picnic about halway along the way at the Chimneys picnic area. Don't forget your fishihg gear, there's plenty of great fishing right in the Park.

CataloocheValley still contains and showcases the remnants of a 19th century settlement. It is a beautiful place to spend a day walking, looking at the old buildings and admiring nature at its very best. It is full of mountain laurel, rhododendron and wildflowers.  What a way to spend a day communing nature!

The National Park creates its own Nature's Calendar.  This like lists bloom times and which birds make their appearance in which month as well as some of the activities offered by the Park Service for those interested in some history

Wherever you may go, be sure to look for evidence of wildlife.  You might see deer, wolf, red fox, black bear, elk, wild turkeys, and more

After a satisfyingly tranquil day, made drowsy by the sunshine, head back to a cozy room and comfortable bed at the Abbey Inn.
